Where is your farm located and why does your soursop fruit taste better?

We're in Puerto Rico where the warm tropical conditions are ideal to grow organic soursop fruits throughout the whole year. That's a big part of why our customers are always surprised by the flavor, proper texture and freshness of our soursop fruits. Our soursops taste better because we're able to let them grow longer on the tree, giving them time to fully mature and develop the qualities fruit lovers look for. Our specific Annona muricata genetics also make a big difference. Our Annona muricata trees have been carefully bred for decades to produce that unique soursop taste, floral aroma and strong potency. Our soursop fruit is never bland.

Family Owned Farm Producing Clean Organic Tropical Fruits

In 2011 Pedro inherited his grandfather's land and soon learned the dark rich soil was superior in quality because of the land's specific plain location right at the bottom and around the mountains of Ponce, Puerto Rico. A more experienced farmer and old family friend explained to Pedro that millions of years of rain and erosion brought down all the rich nutrients and beneficial microbial from the mountains, and collected it on the area Pedro's grandparents land is situated. Hence the reason the land is so rich.

Also Pedro's grandparents lived in the farm house for 80+ years and during this time they only used clean methods to work the land. Back then they used a farm made organic compost, coffee grounds, eggshells, cow manure, chicken manure and filtered water to feed their crops, nothing else, that's why all plants thrive fast and strong on this rich clean land. This private land has never been exposed to chemicals or poisons. On top of that the land spent 4 years vacant, where Pedro would only hire a local worker to simply cut the overgrowth tall grasses and undesired plants, to leave it all evenly distributed to dry and decompose after being cut. This made the land even richer and better creating a nice thick upper layer of decomposed leafs, grasses, stems and straws the fruit trees love because it keeps their roots cooler under the hot weather in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and adds organic nitrogen to the soil.

In 2020 Pedro decided to plant new organic soursop fruit trees on the land. During 2023 many of these Annona muricata trees mentioned started to give big and delicious organic soursop fruits Pedro carefully harvests one by one to clean and keep in pristine fresh conditions for shipping, selling at farmers markets and/or for his personal diet as well. On 2024 Pedro married and now he takes care of the farm and processing with the help of his wife. Every fruit ordered is carefully picked, cleaned and only the best looking and freshest fruits harvested are shipped to our clients. Produce with too many imperfections, bruises, holes or too mature for shipping are used to make more organic compost used to feed the trees and recharge the soil with clean organic nutrients.
